I’m Dr. Yehia Abu El Hassan, Chairman of Memphis Tours, one of Egypt’s oldest and most respected travel companie and president of the International Organization for the E–Tourism Industry (IOETI) since 2009.
My work spans travel management, hospitality, online marketing, and tourism development. I’ve had the opportunity to be an international International speaker and thought leader in digital tourism, with decades of leadership in transforming the travel industry.
I earned my Doctorate in Business Administration with a specialization in E-Tourism from WestBrook University in 2008. For over 30 years, I’ve been dedicated to advancing the tourism industry through digital innovation and transformation.
Through my roles at IOETI and Memphis Tours, I’m proud to be part of modernizing tourism across Egypt and the region.
Career
Chairman of Memphis Tours (Since 1997)

Heads IEOTI, promoting digital innovation in tourism through global events and partnerships.
Member of Egyptian Shura Council (2012)
Represented the Al-Wasat Party and took part in shaping tourism policies and encouraging moderate political dialogue.
Chairman of the Holding Company for Tourism, Hotels & Cinema (2013)
Oversaw strategy and development across government-owned tourism, hospitality, and cinema entities.

Memphis Tours is one of the pioneers in the travel industry with more than 65 years of experience. The company was established in 1955, providing high quality services tailored to suit all tourist requirements. It serves as a gateway to Africa and the Middle East, offering tailor-made trips and tours to various destinations including Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Dubai, Oman, Turkey, Greece, and more.
As Chairman of Memphis Tours since 1997, Dr. Yehia Abu El Hassan has guided one of Egypt’s oldest and most established tour companies. Under his leadership, Memphis Tours has maintained its position as a leading tour operator in Egypt and expanded its operations to multiple countries across Africa and the Middle East.
Dr. Hassan successfully transitioned Memphis Tours to the digital era, establishing an online presence in 1999 and adapting to the changing tourism market. The company philosophy, as stated on their website, focuses on “connecting and helping curious travelers to explore, know and connect with other cultures.”
Through Memphis Tours, Dr. Hassan has facilitated cultural exchange and understanding by connecting travelers with authentic local experiences across multiple countries. The company has established successful partnerships with expert local agencies, hotels, governmental organizations, and other key partners to achieve sustainable tourism impact.
